The Mercedes-Benz E 500 Avantgarde Estate belongs to the W211 generation, introduced by Mercedes-Benz in 2002 as the successor to the W210. During this period, the E-Class was renowned for its extensive model range, offering a wide variety of engines and specifications for different markets. Within the W211 line-up, the V8-powered E 500 was positioned above the six-cylinder models and represented an important part of Mercedes-Benz's upper mid-size offering. It was the flagship engine of the E-Class range, naturally excluding the AMG models, which were developed with a stronger focus on outright performance. The Avantgarde designation referred to a more contemporary and sport-oriented trim level within the E-Class programme.
The Estate version, referred to by Mercedes-Benz as the T-Modell, appealed to customers seeking to combine the comfort and refinement of a luxury saloon with the practicality of an estate car. Or to customers who simply preferred the appearance of the Estate, which we can certainly understand: the T-Modell of the W211 generation is a particularly handsome design.
This Mercedes-Benz E 500 Avantgarde Estate was imported from Japan and has a low mileage. Thanks to the favourable climate, this W211 is free from rust. The car still retains its original paintwork throughout, with the exception of the right front wing. At a later stage, genuine AMG styling front and rear bumpers were fitted. Together with the AMG alloy wheels, the sporty exhaust system and the lowered air suspension, they give this Estate a distinctly sporting appearance.
The car is in good driving condition, although a service and technical inspection are recommended before regular use.
