2007 was the introduction year of the V8 Vantage Roadster. The coupe had already been available since 2005, but this was the first year Aston Martin offered the V8 as a “Roadster.” While the car initially featured a 4.3-liter V8 engine producing 385 hp up until 2011, a revised version was introduced in 2011 with a 4.7-liter V8 producing 420 hp. The later available Vantage S went even further. The “S” badge at Aston Martin traditionally stands for increased sporting performance and dynamics. The air intake and ignition timing were revised, allowing the naturally aspirated V8 in the Vantage S to produce as much as 436 hp. It doesn’t stop there: the chassis received improved tuning with different springs and Bilstein dampers, the brakes were upgraded with 6-piston Brembo calipers and two-piece floating discs, and the steering was made quicker. The wheels are unique 19-inch V-spoke designs. The interior of the S version also features additional sporty details, most notably the elegant “Vantage S” embroidery on the leather seats.

Of course, in true Aston Martin tradition—and as one would expect from a proper sports car—the Roadster is rear-wheel drive only. Because the engine loves high revs, spirited driving is rewarded with the characteristic raw Aston Martin sound. With this beautifully tuned V8, the Aston Martin accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 305 km/h.
Most V8 Vantage S models were equipped with the “Sportshift” transmission, essentially an automated manual gearbox that was not always praised for its refinement. This is not the case with this Roadster at Classic Park—for those who truly enjoy driving, this “S” is equipped with the rare 6-speed manual transmission!

The Vantage Roadster has now become a modern classic, appreciated for its timeless proportions, aluminium body construction, high-quality materials, and the craftsmanship with which it is built. With the roof closed, the car looks just as elegant as it does in open-top configuration. The electrically operated soft top can be opened and closed in just 18 seconds. It is not only a pure-bred sports car; the interior also enhances driving pleasure with luxury features such as climate control, electric seat adjustment, leather upholstery, a navigation system, and more.

This “Aston” was beautifully and tastefully configured by its first owner, reflecting timeless understated elegance. The exterior colour, interior choices, and stitching all contribute to making this a highly desirable Vantage. This Roadster was also delivered new in July 2013 by Kroymans Aston Martin in Hilversum, the Netherlands. It has clearly been well cared for. The front end is protected with PPF, and the service book records the following maintenance history, all carried out exclusively by Kroymans:

• Date not recorded at 26,870 km

Perhaps needless to mention, but the low mileage of only 43,605 km is fully verifiable with a consistent Dutch mileage registration (NAP).
