Audi had been building very fast cars for quite some time, such as the RS4 with its 4.2-liter V8 engine. However, the Audi R8 is regarded as Audi’s first true supercar. When the R8 was introduced in 2007 (model year 2008), Audi shook off its somewhat conservative image and proved that the brand was also capable of building a thoroughbred sports car. With that same 4.2 V8 engine, the R8 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds, and when the opportunity arises, the 300 km/h barrier can be surpassed. Thanks to the aluminium space frame, the perfect weight distribution provided by the mid-mounted engine (beautifully visible from the outside beneath a glass cover), and the renowned quattro all-wheel drive system, the R8 is also able to push the limits of handling.

Yet this R8 is by no means spartan. The R-Tronic version is equipped with a six-speed automated transmission that can be operated via steering-wheel paddles. The occupants can settle into comfortable, leather-trimmed sports seats and enjoy air conditioning and a Bang & Olufsen audio system. It is clearly and unmistakably a supercar, yet at the same time it is comfortable and well suited for everyday use.

This Audi R8 Quattro was originally delivered new in Belgium in February 2008. After two Belgian owners, the car became part of a collection at an Audi dealer in April 2013 and was sold in April 2016. In 2016, the transmission was replaced due to a defect.
The Audi R8 has been registered in the Netherlands since 29 May 2018. For the period from 2008 to 2018, a document is available containing all invoices for maintenance and repairs. This 45-page document clearly shows which maintenance was carried out at which mileage. Many invoices are also available for the years since 2018 in the Netherlands.
