This Rover Mini Cooper is truly special. Special because of its specification, as it is a Blue Star edition, and exceptional because of its incredibly low recorded mileage: just 1,292 km.

The Rover Mini Cooper Blue Star is a rare, limited-edition version of the Mini Cooper. This Blue Star was produced exclusively for the German market, with only 500 examples built. The specification is particularly attractive, starting with the exterior colour: all Blue Star models were finished in the stunning Tahiti Blue. The interior features genuine blue leather upholstery with grey piping, and the backs of the front seats are embossed with Mini Cooper logos.

The Blue Star came standard with a range of distinctive factory options, including elm wood dashboard and door cappings, a wooden Raid “13D” steering wheel, a wooden gear knob and handbrake handle, twin auxiliary driving lights mounted in front of the grille, a heated rear window, magnolia-coloured instruments, opening rear side windows, upgraded heating and ventilation controls, a Blaupunkt Lübeck cassette radio, a chrome grille, adjustable headlamp levelling and silver side decals with Blue Star lettering.

Additionally, an interesting fact, it was the first Mini to feature wider wheel arch extensions and the iconic 13-inch Minilite alloy wheels. A charming detail is that these wheels are still fitted with their original Pirelli P7F tyres.

This Mini was first registered in Germany in August 1996 and comes from long-term storage, having had only two private owners from new. Reportedly, the car spent its entire life in the same underground office car park, which helps explain its exceptional condition.

The only cosmetic work carried out concerns the driver’s door, the left front wing and part of the bonnet, which were resprayed following minor damage when exiting the garage. It is possible that the left front wing was replaced at that time.

Aside from this, the Mini remains in outstanding condition, entirely consistent with its extremely low mileage. This rare example is a striking and highly desirable car. An extensive photographic report on our website highlights the unique character and impeccable detailing of this Mini.
