Comprehensive documentation of maintenance and ownership history is something you expect with rare supercars and top-market limousines, not with what was once a utilitarian car like the Austin Mini. Now that the Mini has grown into a widely cherished cult car, it is almost impossible to find such a carefully preserved example where even the accompanying documents are worth viewing. Yet this is precisely the case with the Mini offered by Classic Park.

In 1989, Mini introduced two special editions to the market: the Mini Racing and the Mini Flame, finished respectively in green (Racing Green) and red, both with a white roof. “Fun, lively cars that remain youthful because they have evolved with their time,” states the original brochure that has been preserved with the car. These special editions were equipped with “attractive black seats, a three-spoke steering wheel with soft-touch trim, front seats with adjustable backrests, black door panels, black carpeting, vanity mirrors in the sun visors, a laminated windscreen, chrome bumpers, an instrument panel with speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge and temperature gauge, a split braking system with disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear, and power-assisted brakes.” As an additional accessory, this Mini is fitted with the iconic 12-inch Minilite alloy wheels.

This original Dutch Mini was delivered to its first owner on 1 July 1989, as evidenced by the original purchase invoice included in the documentation. The second owner purchased the car in September 2021, and the corresponding purchase invoice is also present. All maintenance on this Mini has been meticulously carried out by Rover, MG, and Mini specialists. They have filled no fewer than two service books with their stamps and notes. In addition, a bundle of invoices is present, detailing further work carried out on the car. As a result, the low mileage of just 57,360 km is fully correct and verifiable. It will come as no surprise that the original owner’s manual is also included with the car.

The charm of the original Mini is absolutely beyond dispute. When such a car is in immaculate condition, has a demonstrably outstanding maintenance history, has been cherished by only two owners, and is furthermore equipped with beautiful additional accessories, it truly represents a gem among Minis. A rare opportunity for the Mini enthusiast.
