The Bentley Arnage was introduced in 1998 and was initially available only with a 5.4-liter BMW V8 engine. Demand for the “good old” in-house 6.75-liter V8 proved so strong that for the 2000 model year the factory updated this engine to meet modern emissions requirements and reintroduced it in the Arnage. This version was called the Arnage Red Label. Based on the Red Label, an extended version was launched in the same model year. This Arnage Long Wheelbase was lengthened by no less than 10 inches (25 cm), with the entire increase in length benefiting rear passengers. Only 96 examples were produced. Of its successor, the Arnage RL, 326 units were built. As a result, the Arnage Long Wheelbase will always remain a rare model.

To maintain proper handling despite the increased weight and greater length, the suspension was revised. The engine itself was an improved version of the 6,750 cc V8 compared to the unit used in the Arnage Red Label. It was equipped with Bosch Motronic ME7.1.1 engine management, replacing the previous Zytek system, and featured two smaller Garrett T3 turbochargers instead of a single large T4. This powerplant produces 400 hp, delivers an impressive 835 Nm of torque, and meets all emissions standards applicable at the time.

The Arnage Long Wheelbase offered by Classic Park is fitted with an extensive list of options, added to an already generous standard specification. A particularly elegant and complementing option is the reduced-size limousine rear window, which subtly yet clearly signals that this is a very special car. Inside, the interior, standardly trimmed in the finest Connolly leather, has been further enhanced with additional wood panels in the doors, resulting in an abundance of beautifully finished burr walnut veneer. Bentley emblems are applied both to the headrests and to the veneer strips on the door panels. In the spacious rear passenger compartment, two drinks cabinets are installed, containing six original glasses and two decanters. The premium audio system is complemented by two wireless headphones that were originally specified with the car. Further highlights include contrast-colored stitching, Bentley umbrellas in the trunk, cordless telephones integrated into the armrests, a chromed grille, and many other refined details.

This Bentley is equipped with an exceptionally tasteful and carefully selected range of options. The car was originally delivered as a left-hand-drive vehicle for the British market. Up to 2010, annual maintenance was carried out and recorded with stamps in the service booklet, with the last service in 2010 at 24,742 kilometers. Since then, the Bentley has seen very limited use.
