This left-hand drive MG MGA 1600 Roadster was delivered new in the United States in 1960. According to the current owner was the car a gift from a father in Pleasanton, California, to his daughter who had graduated from high school. The car remained in the same family until 1996 and a restoration was carried out, of which some photos have been preserved with the car.

The MGA was imported to the Netherlands in 1996/1997 and has had only one owner since 1997. This owner had the car completely dismantled and repainted in 1998. During this restoration, all chrome parts, such as the bumpers, moldings and grille, were replaced. Chrome wire wheels were also mounted, which gave the car a beautiful appearance. But that's not all: the door and window rubbers were also replaced, all fittings were upgraded, the engine wiring was renewed, and so on.

Even after this restoration, the car has been continuously improved. For example, an electronic ignition was installed in 2007, a Ford five-speed gearbox in 2010, and the brake system was upgraded in 2011.
In 2014, an engine overhaul was carried out at a odometer reading of 16,994 miles. A photo report of this has also been preserved with the car. Furthermore, the car is equipped with power steering and power brakes. The interior was embellished with a wooden Moto Lita steering wheel and a Pioneer radio/CD player.

That this car has been treated with great care and dedication is evident from the enormous amount of invoices, photos, valuation reports and enthusiast documentation.
