An MGB GT with these specifications and in this concours condition is a rarity. Just like the irresistible appearance of this MGB GT. The car is an original Dutch GT from 1968 that was bought in 1985 by Volkert Wels, the widely known MG specialist who has become famous because of his award-winning restorations. Mr. Wels has owned the car himself for over thirty years and in that time he has upgraded the car to a breathtakingly beautiful GT. So beautiful, in fact, that in 2009, 2010 and 2012 it was the winner in its class at the international 'MG Live' at Silverstone, UK. The car was also extensively described in the Octane magazine of December 2015.
The list of extras includes the following items: a revised and at the time to 1860 cc tuned 4-cylinder petrol engine with aluminum cylinder head, a manual four-speed gearbox with overdrive, tire size 185/65 R15 (14 inch is original), Minilite-style rims with center lock and knock-ons, the dashboard in paint color, black leather interior with white piping, two bucket seats, padded headliner, an original wooden MG steering wheel, orange grille bars, tinted windows and countless more details.
A large collection of won cups, the magazines in which the car was described, an extensive photo report of the restoration, a large number of invoices, some valuation reports, it is very comprehensive what is included with this car.
At the moment the MGB has a German registration.
