Thorough historical research has shown that this BMW 327 Sportkabriolett was built in 1949. The chassis number indicates that this is the second example of the pre-series of the post-war 327/2. Only 14 copies were built. Because the equivalent EMW (Eisenacher Motorenwerk) was built from 1952, this is an original BMW 327 Sportkabriolett.
Recently, the car has got many technical improvements. In particular, the fuel supply, the engine tuning, the steering, the differential, the gearbox and the brakes have been thoroughly serviced or restored.
The black-red color scheme looks great on the BMW. The soft top is in excellent condition. With "matching numbers" of the engine and body, this is an attractive classic.
A real BMW, not an EMW! - from the post-war pre-series of the 327/2 - recently a lot of maintenance carried out - beautiful black with red color scheme
