The Bentley Arnage was launched in 1998 and was a completely new Bentley on a new platform and with a new engine. The name "Arnage" was taken from a challenging combination of corners on the Le Mans circuit where the rise of Bentley had taken place. The car was introduced in 1998 as a replacement for the Mulsanne series, with the Bentley Brooklands and Bentley Turbo R as the last models. For model year 2000, the factory offered the 6750 cc V8 in the Arnage as an alternative to the 4398 cc BMW engine. With that engine the car was called "Arnage Red label" and the version with the reliable 4398 cc BMW engine was then known as the "Arnage Green label". In 2004, the Arnage underwent a facelift, with the headlights being completely separated to make the car resemble the new family front of the Continental GT.
The Green Label has proven to be a very reliable car. The BMW engine is made of aluminum and is therefore much lighter than the engine used later in the Red Label. An additional advantage is that this BMW engine is equipped with a 5-speed automatic transmission from ZF, where the first Red Labels had a 4-speed automatic. The Green Label is therefore much quieter on the highway. A Green Label is therefore lighter, quieter and more reliable and therefore has many advantages over early Red Labels. And last but not least: there is no oil under the Green Labels, for example...
This Bentley Arnage is an original Dutch car with a correct NAP. In January 1999, the Arnage was delivered new to the owner of a large Eindhoven construction company. At the time this car was ordered with various special extra accessories. For example, this Arnage has an electrically operated sliding/tilting roof, a navigation system on the top of the dashboard, a video system with screens in the headrests of the front seats, a reversing camera, parking sensors and picnic tables for the rear passengers. The maintenance history is largely known.
The car is in a very nice condition The Green label in general, but this Arnage in particular is perfectly for suitable for daily use. The 4398 cc BMW engine in collaboration with Cosworth is for the Bentley equipped with Twin Turbos. This engine delivers an engine power of 355 hp, a torque of 570 Nm and a top speed of 250 km/h.
