The Porsche 924 was introduced in 1976 and was the new entry-level model that succeeded the 914. The design paid particular attention to good aerodynamics, which is recognizable by the flat body and the pop-up headlights. From model year 1983 onwards, a black rear spoiler was added to further improve the CW value. For Porsche, the 924 meant a break with the age-old concept of an air-cooled rear engine: the 924 had a water-cooled engine in the front. This engine was a four-cylinder in-line engine that was taken over from the Audi 100. In 1985 (model year 1986), the 924 S came onto the market, in which the 2.5 liter four-cylinder in-line engine built by Porsche itself was installed that also served in the 944. This engine was good for 150 hp. In addition to the engine, the 924 S received various other components from the 944. For example, the S has the drive unit, the braking system, chassis components and various interior parts from the 944. The 924 S also has aluminum rims with the “telephone dial” design from the 944. The Porsche 924 S at Classic Park has all these later upgrades and is also equipped with an automatic gearbox and a steel tilting roof. Since 1990 the car has had a Dutch registration. Both the interior and exterior are original and the car is in very nice condition.
