Following the success of the DB7, Aston Martin introduced the DB9 in 2003. The convertible version, which Aston Martin calls the “Volante”, followed in 2004. The DB9 remained in production for no less than 13 years and was succeeded by the DB11 in 2016. Both the coupé and the convertible were offered with the same engine.
Under the bonnet, the DB9 features a 5.9-litre V12 engine paired with a Touchtronic gearbox. In the early model years, this powerplant produces 570 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm and delivers a maximum output of 450 bhp at 6,000 rpm. This enables the DB9 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 299 km/h. To optimise weight distribution, the engine is positioned largely behind the front axle.
The DB9 offers a versatile driving experience. For everyday use and leisurely drives, it combines a high level of comfort and luxury with superb smoothness, agility and refinement. However, when the driver wishes to explore its performance and the conditions allow, the DB9 reveals itself to be a wolf in sheep’s clothing. The V12 is powerful and effortlessly fulfils its owner’s sporting ambitions, delivering the performance expected of a thoroughbred sports car.
The Aston Martin DB9 offered by Classic Park was delivered new in Italy in 2005. Its first owner carefully selected an exceptionally tasteful colour scheme that beautifully accentuates the car’s sporty and exclusive character. After 2013, the DB9 passed into German ownership, and since 2020 it has been registered in the Netherlands. Throughout its life, the Aston Martin has been driven regularly, yet its total mileage has remained below 60,000 km for many years. During its time in the Netherlands, the DB9 has also been used regularly, but its odometer reading has increased by only 7,000 km. The car comes with an Italian-language owner’s manual and a service booklet documenting regular maintenance carried out by specialist workshops.
