This is one of the most elegant convertibles that Mercedes-Benz has ever produced. The W113 series or “Pagode”, as the model is also called, provides unprecedented driving pleasure but also has a friendly and charming appearance. That has to be that way, because with the W113, Mercedes-Benz has designed a successor to the legendary 190 SL and 300 SL. So the challenge was big. And that was necessary, because the car came onto the market in the years when Jaguar caused a stir with the E-type and Ferrari with the Daytona.
Despite this competition, the 230 SL Pagode has always been a successful model. In addition to the beautiful design, aspects such as the road holding and safety features were widely praised.
