The Jaguar E-Type, which is offered to you by Classic Park, is a Series I OTS fitted with the 3.8L straight-six engine. The car is finished in Opalescent Dark Green with a crème leather interior and softtop. The car was completely restored in Italy and after that a lot of work was done on it in The Netherlands. The car is fantastic cosmetic and technical condition. The car is also fitted with several period correct features such as wider chrome wire wheels, chrome wing nuts, 1 sidemirror, a wooden sports steering wheel and a stainless steel exhaust.

Many other technical improvements were made including a 5-speed manual transmission (the original 4-speed is still with the car), an aluminum radiator with controllable fan, a modern alternator, 1-2-3 ignition, an uprated fuel pump, a modern clutch kit and bigger brake calipers and discs on the front axle. Besides this almost all of the electrical, mechanical and technical parts have been refurbished in the past couple of years.

This is certainly one of the best Jaguar E-types on the market right now and the car is amazing from any perspective. Perfectly suited for any roadtrip in one of the most iconic beauty’s of all time.

The first Jaguar E-Type was presented in 1961 and was a rear-wheel drive grand tourer, available as a two-seater coupé (FHC = Fixed Head Coupé) and a two-seater convertible (OTS = Open Two Seater). A 2+2 four-seater version, with extended wheelbase, of the coupé was introduced a few years later.

Enzo Ferrari called the E-Type: “The most beautiful car ever made”. The attractive design, high performance and competitive price made the E-Type one of the best selling and iconic sports cars of the sixties. The New York Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) acknowledged the importance of design by adding a blue roadster to the permanent design collection in 1996. Only six cars received this honour.

Later updates of the E-Type were officially named "Series 2" and "Series 3". Models produced earlier were later known as "Series 1" and "Series 1 ½". In 1974 production stopped after 70,000 E-Types were sold, including 7,828 Series I 3.8 OTS.

The Jaguar E-Type Series I was introduced in 1961. The cars were equipped with the 3.8-liter six-cylinder XK6 engine which was also used in the XK150S, it had an output of 265 hp and a top speed of 150 mph (241 km / h). The very first E-Types had a special mechanism for opening the bonnet. These E-Types are now rare and expensive.

All E-Types have the, at that time new, independent suspension and assisted disc brakes on all four wheels. The Series I (to 1967) is easily recognized by the head lights with glass covers, the small opening ("mouth") at the front, turn signals and tail lights mounted above the rear bumper and the exhaust pipes under the license plate at the back.

The 3.8 version was equipped with leather-covered bucket seats, an aluminum instrument panel (from 1963 in vinyl and leather) and a manual four-speed gearbox. In 1964 the 3.8 engine was replaced by a 4.2-liter.
