This beautiful Jaguar was bought in the beginning of 2011 in America as a solid and very original driver by a Dutch man. When the car arrived in the Netherlands the body was not in such a great shape as promised. But the good news was that the car was unrestored and indeed in a very original condition.
The Dutch owner did not want to restore the car and did sell the car to Germany in 2011.
The German owner did start immediately with the restoration and he did strip the car to the bare metal. The metal of the body is where needed complete renewed. Where possible original parts where kept, like the original aluminum panels in the dashboard (the new offered aluminum panels look slightly different). The engine was opened and the technical needs were done.
The car is matching numbers, the original hood- and interior color were originally black. The exterior color was Carmen Red. The exterior color is changed to the much better looking color black. The combination of triple black works perfect on an early E-Type. The restoration is very well documented, there are a lot of pictures in the file. The car is not used very often after the restoration.
The restoration is now a few years old, but the car looks still amazing and it is a fantastic driver.
The price is sharp for a matching numbers E-type Series 1 in this wonderful condition, don’t miss this opportunity!
